During the Ming Dynasty, the court established the 'Two Factories and One Guard' (Dongchang and Xichang, and Jinyiwei) to consolidate imperial power. The 'Two Factories and One Guard' were ruthless in their external actions and engaged in open and covert struggles with each other, creating a bloody storm in and out of the court. The Minister of War, Zhao Zhongliang, was framed by Guo De, the supervisor of Dongchang, and sentenced to death. Before his execution, Zhao revealed that he possessed ironclad evidence of Guo's treasonous plot, which he had entrusted to his confidant, Zhang Xianzhi. Guo then devised a plan to capture Zhang by using Zhao's children as bait.
Zhang sent heroes from the jianghu (martial arts world) to rescue Zhao's remaining children. Guo, unable to capture them, intentionally let them go, and both sides arrived at the Longmen Inn for a final showdown.
Meanwhile, the Jinyiwei also learned of the rescue of Zhao's children and secretly arrived at the Longmen Inn, intending to kill them and claim credit from Dongchang...
